An Easy Serving Espresso Pod, or ESE pod, is a small packed coffee disk (Coffee pod) with a paper filter covering. Each pod contains seven grams of coffee compressed into a food safe filter package. A double serving contains 14 grams of coffee. Coffee pod machines are basically made of sealable plastic rods with small paper filters inside. Pods are placed in the machine and locked in place.
