Descaling A Nespresso Coffee Machine

Your Nespresso coffee machine should be descaled every three to six months, depending on the water in your area. Instructions with the descaling kit are printed in 23 languages; to prevent the booklet being the size of an encyclopedia, instructions are mostly pictorial, concise in the extreme, and I found them to be confusing in parts.
